...Of being a writer.

There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that I love. I love the world, and I seek to protect it with all that I've got; that's why I'm in college right now pursuing a major in Environmental Engineering, because our planet is just too beautiful and too full of wonders for us to let it disappear, and it's nothing short of our duty as humans to protect it. It's more than just a treasure protected behind glass or a beauty for us to admire from afar--it's a part of us.
But I've always wanted to do more than just that. I want to become an engineer and help the world, but I also have passions for other things, and among them is writing. The power of words is just incredible, and I've always wanted my writing to be as important a part of my life as my future career will be. Through words, I can express my love of the world and bring with it a message to help protect what we have left. But even if I never become a novelist or obtain any kind of job that focuses on writing, I know that I will always be doing it, whether it's to write about the world we live in today or about a world all my own.
These are my dreams for my future; these are my dreams for the world. I know that I am small, but through my words and through what I can do with what I have, I hope to be able to make a difference.

That aside, this picture has taken me a solid week to draw, and I'd like to give infinite thanks to ~enzeru-no-yami for yet again always putting up with me and offering her endless advice, and for *TanukiTanuki for supporting me in everything I do.

And of course, I want to say Thank You! to all of my friends on DeviantArt, since you guys are what have seriously made it worth staying here and have encouraged me to always keep striving for what I love and pushing myself to higher levels in my work.
