Okay, so, yeah I know this is just another 1h oekaki doodle, but for some reason I'm just insanely happy with this--not because the picture's much GOOD, per say, but mostly just that it's pretty much what I imagined I wanted to draw.
Honestly, art's real intimidating to me because I always feel like I can never get something to come out the way I picture it in my head, and it's my own crazy expectations that mess me up more than not. My pictures are always flatter, more amateuristic, at more boring angles, etc, etc. than what I picture things to be, but I still have so many images in my head of scenes I want to draw. They're the whole reason I write and draw in the first place, so it's just--I don't know. It's just hard trying to reach what often feels like an impossible goal, you know? ...S-So, long story short, every now and then when I can come kinda close, I get really happy inside to know that I'm getting there.
...A-Anyway, sentimental ramblings aside ahahaha.
Meet Raguel, redesigned! This is pretty much how I pictured him to look on first appearance (and first encounter with Seth), so hey, here's that.
...He got the emo hair, I'm sorry, but it's kinda got to be that way. Um, kinda justified (notreallylol): He has long hair to hide his hybrid nature; he's half-vampire by birth (yellow eye) and half-demon by forced design (hidden red eye). He's kind of a jackass though, so even though he went through a lot of shit thanks to the Foundation you shouldn't feel sorry for him--it'll just feed his crazy ego and his pretentions of acting for the "greater good" and saving the world. Unfortunately the demon blood that he dislikes makes him crazy-strong and he has absolutely no qualms about killing anyone if it'll move him closer to his goal. Or if you just look at him funny.
He carries a switchblade on him in case he's caught in a knife-fight, but he'd be much happier killing you with his bare hands if he could. Has a thing about white shirts, which is kind of ironic given he escaped from the labs. And um... yeah. He's a jackass, and I kinda relish the ways in which he can get killed. : D
...I think this summer I'll end up re-doing all the Iris profiles... ohboy... =w=;;
