Hey guys!!! Sorry I've been pretty quiet/dead over here, my life's just been such a crazy-hectic rush... long story short I'm going to school now at Art Center in Pasadena, California, and it's just been a mess of moving out here and getting my shit organized and trying to handle this massive workload that's more intense than anything I've ever done before, so I've been completely out of it, aughh....
I actually have, like, literally about 24 hours' worth of homework to do this weekend lmao so I'm also entirely not sure I can even pull off 24hourcomicday in full, but THAT WON'T STOP ME FROM TRYING-!!!
SO ANYWAY, YEAH!!! 24 HOUR COMICS DAY IS THIS WEEKEND, OCTOBER 3, 2015!! WHO'S IN THIS WITH ME???
24 PAGES OF COMIC IN 24 HOURS, NO WEAKNESS, NO EXCUSES, JUST DO THE BEST YOU CAN!!
Though I might not be able to make it this year, I still wanna put in some work-!! I just dunno yet what I wanna do--continue the Jean comic I started for 12hcd? Or do something completely new (and slapdash, as per the 24HCD norm), but it'd be another OC story for sure I think... anything you guys would be interested in seeing more of, heheh? Seth backstory things, Cera, Asher and Ayra and Phelan...? Corryn and Sariel? Ian and Cris? LieLie and XinMi?? There are so many possibilities, hahah!!
And, of course, Inktober completely snuck up on me too, but I'm still gonna try to do something for that every day, too-!!! Hopefully I can manage; I haven't even had time to doodle for myself almost ever this whole month, but still, I'm gonna try to do an ink piece every day-!!! Who else is planning to do Inktober???

Man, I don't post journals here a lot anymore, huh? I've just gotten so darn busy, sorry, but I'll try my best to catch up soon-!
Anyway, 2019 was pretty productive! I didn't manage a comic page every single week due to traveling/etc, but I still accomplished... I believe 42 pages, and that's pretty darn great! I feel like I'm really settling into the process of making pages for Iris now, and I'm pretty proud of what I accomplished.
I took some time off the second half of this year and did a ton of traveling--did a huge, 19-day Western US road trip from LA up to Vancouver, then over to Banff National Park and down through Montana, Utah,

This is something I've been thinking about for a while now, but yes, I've decided to start posting my comic Iris today, on my birthday. I wanted to do it as a huge thank you to all of the people who've supported me over the years, and I hope that you all will enjoy it-!
This is still a huge experiment to me, so please bear with, there's sure to be kinks for me to iron out as I go, but for now I'm super excited to share this comic with you all-! Reflections on 2018, onwards to 2019
So, yeah... I definitely don't update here very often anymore, huh? Sorry 'bout that.
Well, anyway--last year, I set myself the goal of drawing a comic page a week. I didn't succeed--I only managed 22 or so pages, give or take (some not normal-format, some random sketches/off-topic, some re-done repeatedly). Yet here I am, setting myself the same goal for 2019, because 22 pages was still far better than none.
All I can say for sure is--I've started and am a few pages into Iris, my first real attempt at making it in a comic format. Comics feel like they go against all of my instincts right now, unfortunately--instead of one drawing with
Updates 03.25.2018
Just wanted to let you all know that so far my New Year's Resolution of drawing one comic page a week is still ongoing, and that I've finished my short comic "Right"! I'll continue posting pages once a week on Mondays, but it is now complete at 24 pages!! (Ironic, since this started as a 24 hour comics day project, haha.)
But yeah, I finished 12 pages in these past 3 months; slow progress I know, but better than nothing, given I'm still working full-time (and also pulling a lot of OT on some freelance boarding, haha), so I'm content with this rate for now, though I'll also try once in a while to do two pages a week, maybe.
