I live. Honest.
Sorry for disappearing for so long, but you know what?
Today, I just finished my last class. At Hopkins. Forever.
I'M SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE, GUYS. SO FRIGGIN' CLOSE. Just two more weeks of finals, then one more week for graduation! It feels pretty unreal, I don't think it's sunk in yet, hahahah...
(Oh, and for the record, that last class was Life Drawing. Which we did outside in the sculpture garden because the weather was lovely. And for which I watercolored. And all was well.)
Anyway! Some things that went down while I was out:

Started Script Frenzy but quit at 61 pages this year to work on my Intro to 2D Animation Final instead. Sorry, Iris. Definitely going to keep at it to try and have some proof drafts polished up for this June--I've even roughed out the ending, so it's CLOSE IN SIGHT!!!
(Once I figure out how to off like, half the cast, hahahah;;; /shot) I, uh, might be curious too as to whether or not anyone would be interested in beta-reading my novel??? @v@;; M-Maybe???
Had the best goddamn semester of my LIFE.
Seriously, I just--totally fell in love with MICA classes and the professors and students there (thank you ~
shark-bomb and ~
b-snippet for making my classes so much fun! ♥), and I just, good gosh I never wanted this semester to finish! I learned so much but really, I just felt so incredibly lucky and happy to be there every day. It's the closest I've felt to belonging anywhere, and it was just--the best time of my life, honestly.

Finished* my Intro to 2D Animation project. The whole 3:58 long beast of a thing, though I'll be poking back in with my professor this coming week to fix up some scenes and tweak it best I can, but then hopefully I'll, ahm, post it here or something?? I'm really kind of proud of it--all 3 minutes and 58 seconds of it, all 5560 frames of it--took me weeks of working my ass off on it and camping out for at least 4 nights in the Animation studio, yeahhhhhhhhh good times!
*Actually, I left about 400 frames of action in animatic-form to work on the ending first for the final viewing Wednesday, but I'll be getting back to work on those post-haste!
Reconsidering what I want to do with myself, again. No surprise there. We'll see how things go, but for now, I'm just ready to relax for a couple of months (in China, whoop!) and take some time to draw something for myself again. For now though, I think I'm going to go take a quick break and enjoy a summer thunderstorm on the roof...
Need to catch up on some sleep, finish some final homework assignments and projects, but after that I promise that I'll get back on here and comment on all the stuff that I've been neglecting--and pull together a sketchdump, and finish up the AD Swan Song arc! (Extra hugs and kisses to anyone who's been following me up on that, you guys have my heart, I swear~ ♥)
Anyway. Just wanted to pop back in and let you guys know what I've been up to. Basically, I just had the time of my life this semester, and I loved every second of it.
Why can't the good things last forever?
I miss it so much already wauuuuugggghhhhhhhhhh
Plus you're friends with epic people. So I'm sure you're epic in kind.
After graduation, make sure you make the best out of that free time! China sounds like exactly what you need to recover sleep and work on your own projects ^^
Yeah, definitely think I need to go lie down for a while, hahah...
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU FOR THOSE ALMOST 6000 FRAMES/4 MINUTES DANG GURL yessss camping in the studio and working your ass off = the reality of animating lol. That and having to leave things out. So much happens between the first rough storyboard and the final product in the professional world, and a lot of it happens because of time restraints (including deadlines and film minute limit! :U)
Oooh Iris completion?!? I'm excited for that. C8 I volunteer to read! because despite all else I really am quite literate
you have soooo earned to chill out in China for a while. d(ouo I hope you can handle the summer weather there, xD
But AUGH YES, YOU WHO KNOW OF MY ANIMATION PAINS, HAHAHAH. Ooooooohhh I really think that I'm starting to fall in love with animation though, now that I'm finally breaking out of my fears and trying to work more with dynamic camera angles and what have you... it's still got a LONG way to go from being anything done, now that I know how far I still stand from REAL animation, but, I'm still kinda-sorta proud of it? ;////;
And AHHHHHHHH OHMAN S-SERIOUSLY;;; D-Do you really want to read my crazy-long super-verbose rambling confusing mess of a novel?? ;A;
Dynamic camera angles are actually part of what keeps me from going crazy when animating or doing any sort of sequential storytelling art thing, really. XD you have EVERY RIGHT to be proud of it no matter how incomplete it is. The really good shorts that you see around that have like, full color and clean lines and everything else have teams of at least half a dozen people. Doing something at such a high level of quality just the way you want it takes a loooooong time all on your own. lD;;
yes I doooooo =u= It might take me a couple of page-turning days, but I cognitively read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in a weekend, so I think we're good on that count. xD "super-verbose rambling confusing" messes of novels are pretty much what I read these days.
